What to Expect at Xplor

Xplor Park, like all the other parks from the Xcaret group, offers an array of thrilling activities that promise adventure and excitement for visitors of all ages. Zip-Lines

In Xplor, you can experience the thrill of soaring through the skies on Xplor's renowned zip lines, making it the most visited zip-line park in the world. With two circuits featuring seven zip lines each, you'll explore the jungle of Playa del Carmen from exhilarating heights. Prepare to get wet as you enjoy a waterslide and two refreshing water landings along the way.

Underground Rafts

Just imagine navigating through ancient rock formations aboard fun rafts in the underground rivers of Xplor. Practical Information

Before embarking on your Xplor adventure, there are a few things to keep in mind. The park provides all necessary equipment, including helmets, harnesses, and snorkel gear, so you can focus on enjoying the experience.

Make sure you wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for outdoor activities. And don't forget to pack a swimsuit and towel, as you're bound to get wet during your underground river expedition. Any sunscreen or mosquito repellent should be environmentally friendly.

The regular entrance ticket to Xplor without any discounts is $142.99 USD for an adult (12+ years) and $107.24 USD for children (5-11 years). It includes all the activities, a buffet lunch, unlimited snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages (oatmeal cookies, fruit, smoothies, and flavored fresh waters).

If you want to save on tickets, buy them on the park's website in advance. If you buy the tickets 7-20 days before your visit you will get a 10% discount, and if you do it at least 21 days before your visit, you save 15%.

If you purchase tickets to three or more parks, you will get 20% off the prices.

Getting to Xplor Park

Xplor Park is conveniently located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, just a stone's throw away from Playa del Carmen. Situated close to the Xcaret and Xenses parks, Xplor offers easy access to travelers from Cancun , Playa del Carmen, and Tulum.

If you’re driving your rental car, it’s a very straight way, no matter what your departure point is.

From Cancun to Xplor

Distance: 24 mi (56 km) south of the Cancun International Airport.

Travel Time: Approximately 55 minutes, depending on the departing point.

From Playa del Carmen to XPlor

Distance: 4 mi (6 km) from Playa del Carmen towards Tulum.
Travel Time: Approximately 12 minutes.

From Tulum to Xplor

Distance: 24 mi (55 km) north of Tulum, towards Playa del Carmen .
Travel Time: Around 45 minutes.

For your convenience, you can also add round-trip transportation from your hotel at the time of your purchase if you prefer not to drive.

The high season in the Riviera Maya coincides with the region's dry season, with sunny days and comfortable temperatures ideal for outdoor activities. This period, spanning from November to April, is considered the best time to visit Xplor Park. With clear skies and minimal rainfall, you can fully enjoy all the park's attractions without worrying about the weather. However, get ready for bigger crowds!

From May to October, the Riviera Maya experiences its wet season, characterized by higher temperatures and increased humidity. While rainfall is more common during these months, it typically occurs in short, intense bursts, leaving plenty of opportunity for outdoor adventure. Visiting Xplor Park during the low season has its advantages, including fewer crowds and in general cheaper prices in the area. Additionally, the lush vegetation and vibrant colors of the jungle are at their peak during this time, creating a stunning backdrop for your adventures.
